Meet August Soward, a passionate and determined competitor making her mark in the karting scene in South East Queensland. Racing under kart number 58, August competes in both the highly competitive KA3 Senior and TAG Restricted Light classes, continuing to build her experience and reputation on the track.

August first discovered karting in 2020 during the COVID lockdowns, initially taking up the sport as a way to get out of the house and try something new. What started as a casual escape quickly became a genuine passion. From the first laps on track, she was hooked by the speed, competition, and adrenaline that karting brings.

Since then, August has embraced every opportunity to improve her driving, develop her racecraft, and become part of the close-knit karting community. Her commitment and enthusiasm for the sport are evident every time she lines up on the grid, always pushing herself to learn and improve with each race meeting.

Away from the circuit, August also enjoys kitesurfing, another fast-paced activity that reflects her adventurous personality and love for excitement and challenge.

As part of the growing movement of women in motorsport, August represents the next generation of female racers, helping to inspire more women and girls to get involved in karting. With her positive attitude, competitive spirit, and passion for racing, she continues to be a fantastic ambassador for the sport both on and off the track.
